Fall 2014 Men’s Fashion Trend
Raglan Sleeve Raincoat
September 29, 2014
During the transition from the dryer seasons to a more damp, muddy and cold season we have to keep in mind not only preparing our skin and minds for the upcoming weather but also our clothes that help protect us from the harsh climates and terrain. With that said this upcoming Fall/Winter 2014/2015 brings about a new style of outerwear. When we think of winter or the colder months we think of mostly the peacoat to keep us warm right, but what about those days when it’s rainy and cold? Well there’s a outerwear garment that takes us a step further into the area of both the comfort and versatility that is perfect for the this upcoming cold season, the Raglan Sleeve Raincoat. This season designers have come up with a totally new style and spin on the traditional raincoat. They have taken the original designs and configured the fit of the sleeve style so that the sleeves are more conforming to the body and rest on the shoulders.
“This coming season outerwear is less structured, with sharp shoulders giving way to raglan sleeves (that’s where the shoulder seam runs diagonally from your armpit to your neck). Our favourite iteration was the Prince of Wales check coat Thom Evans wore for his debut in the Hackett London show (LINK) – sleek, simple and will last for many seasons to come.” – GQ Magazine
